By downloading, installing, or using Cortiq.ai ("Cortiq", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Cortiq is a macOS desktop application that captures on-screen content when explicitly invoked by the user, sends it to AI models for analysis, and returns contextual responses. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Cortiq on macOS devices you own or control.

2. Screen Capture Consent

By using Cortiq, you consent to the application capturing your screen content when you explicitly invoke it. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture any content visible on your screen. Do not use Cortiq to capture content you are not authorized to view or share.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Cortiq to capture or analyze illegal content
  • Use Cortiq to surveil other people without their knowledge and consent
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Cortiq application
  • Attempt to circumvent credit limits or abuse the API
  • Share your account or credentials with others
  • Use automated tools to interact with Cortiq beyond normal usage patterns

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI responses are for informational purposes only. They may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations. Do not rely on Cortiq's outputs for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed through Whop, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you agree to Whop's terms of service in addition to these Terms.

  • All plans auto-renew at the end of each billing period
  • You may cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the current period
  • Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis

6. Free Trial

New users receive a 3-day free trial. A valid payment method is required. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the selected plan. You may only use one free trial per person.

7. Credits

Each plan includes a set number of AI credits per billing cycle (2,000 credits). Credits do not roll over between billing cycles. Credit consumption varies based on query complexity. Additional credits may be purchased separately.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cortiq's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or the accuracy of AI-generated content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected].

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
